How did you being blogging?
I started blogging almost 10 years ago! I asked my dad one day what a blog was and he said it was a website people opened up because they had something to say. I am a stay at home, homeschooling mother and found blogging to be a creative outlet for me.
What are you preferred blogging topics?
In the beginning I just blogged whatever. Now I see a real need to encourage and support women so my blogging has narrowed some.
What are your three favorite blog posts?
When You Call Your Husband a Name–because I think there is rampant disrespect for men as husbands and fathers in today’s society.
And Then…–because a shiny blog doesn’t always show the real life behind it.
Advent Devotional–I enjoyed this series of posts to help prepare our hearts for Christmas.
What are you up to when not blogging?
I am a wife and stay at home-homeschooling mom of 7…I’m pretty busy.
What are your tips for balancing family life and blogging?
The key to balancing anything is having a plan and a planner…and then sticking to them!
Why and how do you use Sverve?
I have loved all the blogging tips I have gathered from Sverve. It’s a so nice to see such a large community of bloggers willing to share tips and tricks they have written about or come across on the web.
Do you have any tips for your success on Sverve?
Stay active! I kind of disappeared during the holidays and my Sverve score reflected it. Set aside a little bit of time each day to participate.
Can you share any blogging tips that have really helped you?
Use an editorial calendar, even if it’s just a spiral notebook to keep ideas and a schedule of when you want to post or what you want to post. Also, keep learning. Sverve and Pinterest are awesome resources for bloggers.
What do you love most about blogging?
I love the creative outlet blogging affords me. I also enjoy meeting so many people I normally would not have the opportunity to meet. The blogging community is universal!
