How did you begin blogging?

I began blogging just after the birth of my son, I didn’t know how I was going to adjust to  being a mom and wanted to journal my experience, however I grew from there and my blog has evolved as I have evolved as a Mom and Wife. My concept has really grown and now it’s about how everyone expects a stay at home mom to be perfect like a Stepford House Wife, that way I can cover a lot of topics under the banner, not being restricted and even have a ‘Perfect’ image as my logo.

What are your 3 favorite blog posts & why?

Some of favorite posts include how to complete meal planning, why we chose home school and why Stepford. I love to blog about recipes, saving money and what it actually takes to be a stay at home mom. I know I am not perfect and my whole thing is, should you try and be perfect it will drive you crazy.  I am getting more involved in Home School and will be starting to share a lot as my kids get older. What really makes me happy is when I get emails or comments saying how some of my tips have really helped someone; it makes me feel like I accomplished something that day.

What are you up to when not blogging?

When I am not blogging, it’s all about the family; I have a 3yr, 2yr and 1 month old so we play a lot of games, go to the zoo, museum and other fun trips. When it’s just my husband and I we love a good movie, popcorn and just to relax while the kids are in bed. My personal favorite is to curl up in a corner with a book and just get lost in the story. To do this you have to say this is work time and this is family time, stick to it too.  I really live the crazy hectic life of a stay at home mom and I love it. I enjoy being able to share these things with my readers and hopefully help someone, that’s why I blog. How about you?

Can you share any blogging tips that have really helped you?

My blogging style has changed since the beginning and I am still learning, I do have tips for others starting out; being involved in social ports such as Sverve helps a great deal. Because Sverve is very blogger based it’s about supporting each other so you do need to add tips, I post my blog posts as tips so we can get a sense of each other, we can visit each other’s blogs and leave comments and support which is a great way to develop your style and help others. It always saddens me when I have endorsed someone and I love their work, I want to give them more credit so that’s where tips come in handy, I can like them to show my support.

Also write about what you love, it doesn’t matter how much people want to read blogs about singing contests, if you can’t stand them no one will read what you have to say unless your blog is about how you don’t like them. My biggest tip is that you need to write for yourself, by being yourself and that way you can feel proud of your work.
