How Are Prices Per Tweet Determined For Twitter Campaigns?
Is it voodoo? Magic? Favoritism? Randomization? Despotism? Nepotism?
It is none of the above.
Some of our community members have noticed that it isn’t always the person with the most twitter followers getting the highest price per tweet.
That is because on Sverve we use an algorithm to determine the “value” of a tweet on a specific account.
The factors considered by this algorithm include:
- Followers to Following Ratio
- Follower count
- Engagement from followers
- Optimization of client’s budget for a specific reach
So if one influencer has a follower count of 2,000 on Twitter, BUT they themselves follow 1,900 or even OVER 2,000, the follower/following ratio is not going to register very impressively on the Sverve algorithm.
If this information is new to you, there are ways to clean up the amount of people you follow. One is to use the free tool http://www.justunfollow.com/ to make sure you unfollow accounts that are inactive, or people who have recently unfollowed you.
Improving engagement on your tweets by sharing quality content that gets more retweets, favorites and replies will also bump up the value of your tweet.
Also, the algorithm is attuned to help the individual client attain a target reach for the entire campaign. The fee is capped based on the brand’s budget.
Keep tweeting with confidence and thank you for being a part of our Sverve community!
